Autumn Photography

What a great summer we've had this year! But as one season comes to a close, another begins, but autumn doesn't have to be bleak, in fact it's far from it. The season is the most colourful time of the year, with everything undergoing transitions prepare for deeps reds, simmering gold's and fiery yellows. It is just the most perfect of times to get some really vibrant camera shots, which you can later transfer onto canvas and brighten up any home.

Have an adventure:
Even if you're simply walking the dog, stretch yourself and have a little explore. By going a little further than normal, you never know what's just waiting for you around that corner, or just over that hill, and you don't want to miss a thing. Location is really key; you want to get out in the heart of the countryside, where you'll see the full on effects of autumn in full swing.

Experiment:
Just like every other type of photography, it's always a great idea to explore various angles. For instance if you're out in the woods, lie down on your back and check out the canopy above. Plus add to this the light seeping through the trees and you have a potentially terrific shot.

All in the detail...
Don't neglect the space below your feet, with colourful foliage littering the forest floor can be chock o block with hidden photography treasure. Why not practise your macro photography, using the bright colours of leaves contrasting against the earthy background, or get up and close with

Light and reflections:
With changes in the weather and the nights drawing in, prepare from some great atmospheric lighting. Keep your eyes peeled for those misty mornings and darkened skies. Don't forget to try out reflections. With the superb colours throughout the season and dramatic lighting, reflecting off the water, you'll bag yourself some stunning shots.
