Take That Perfect Photo For Canvas This Spring

Take That Perfect Photo For Canvas This Spring

Wednesday 19th February 2014

Spring is just around the corner now, and the weather, fingers crossed looks to be on the turn too. With the flowers coming into bloom and everything washed in greenery and all of the new life, there's no better time to be getting snappy happy.

Here are some top tips to get that perfect outdoors shot:

1) Use lighting to your advantage - There's a particular time during sunrise and sunset that photographer's refer to as the "magic hour." During this time you can obtain the most spectacular outdoors shots by working this fantastic natural source of light in your favour.

2) Think about another perspective- Why not try and experiment with different heights and angles. Climb a tree, lie on the ground...You may find a fresh new outlook on something you might see every day.

3) Keep it steady and focused- Don't be hasty! If you're looking for that perfect shot, you can't go rushing it. Have access to a tri-pod? Great. Otherwise just take your time and try not to breathe too much! It's easy to lose concentration for a split second and lose the focus, so concentrate and take it slow and you'll get that epic shot.

4) Keep it simple- Some of the most beautiful photos out there are the most simple. Let nature and your subject speak for itself, you really don't need an over complicated background to create a picture with an impact.

5) Play around with filters- Try out different filters and see what kind of effects you can create. Sometimes it can create a whole new perspective on an image. Escape issues with over and under exposure, or get deeper and denser colours. Have fun with it, that's the best part of photography!

Of course the next step after you've taken a pretty awesome photo is to show it off! What better way to do this that transfer your sensational image onto canvas? Bring nature into your home and be different from the hum drum of commercialised pictures lugged from a well know flat-packed furniture store, point at your own creation and say "I did this."
