Helwick Lightship
Here is a clear colourful image showing an almost perfect reflection of the Helwick lightship which was one of the U.K's last manned lightships now lying in Swansea Marina.
The Helwick lightship used to mark the treacherous sands off the western point of the Mumbles Peninsular, between Carmarthen and Swansea at the entrance to the Bristol Channel. As it is open to the Atlantic awesome seas can sweep through. She was built at Philips Yard . She is now preserved in Swansea Maritime Museum and was replaced by another lightship that is now in Cardiff Museum
